Asbestos is still present in a huge number of buildings constructed or refurbished before the year 2000, and disturbing it without knowing can put your health, and the health of everyone around you, at serious risk. If your work could disturb the fabric of a building, asbestos awareness training is a legal requirement under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.

This course teaches you what asbestos is, why it is dangerous, and the materials and locations where it is most commonly found. You will learn how to recognise the warning signs, what to do if you discover or accidentally disturb suspected asbestos, and how to protect yourself and others on site.
