Hazardous substances are part of everyday work in a huge range of jobs, from cleaning products and dusts to fumes, adhesives and chemicals. The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations, better known as COSHH, exist because these substances cause thousands of cases of ill health every year, much of it permanent and all of it preventable.

This course teaches you how to recognise hazardous substances and the different ways they can enter and harm the body.

You will learn how to read hazard labels and safety data sheets, what a COSHH assessment is and what it means for the way you work, and the control measures, from ventilation and safe working practices to protective equipment, that keep exposure down.

Essential for anyone who works with or around hazardous substances, in trades, cleaning, maintenance, manufacturing and beyond.
