Using the wrong extinguisher on a fire can make things dramatically worse, and hesitating with the right one can cost precious seconds. This course gives you the knowledge and confidence to act correctly if you are ever faced with a fire in its early stages.

You will learn the classes of fire and the different types of extinguisher, which extinguisher works on which fire, and crucially which combinations are dangerous.

We take you through the correct operating technique step by step, along with how to judge when a fire is safe to tackle and when the only right answer is to evacuate and raise the alarm.

Suitable for all staff in any workplace, and particularly valuable for fire wardens, site teams and anyone with fire safety responsibilities.
